A sales spreadsheet holds customer, item, and project information, in a custom layout set to print as customer invoices. It's a data nightmare; everything is in random folders and paper. Our task is to build an Excel sales data store from this. We will: build the right database; clean up, enter, and import large numbers of saved sales spreadsheets into the database; update the working sheet to merge new customer and sales data.
Excel work can be a few minutes or hours; a full process cleanup could take days or weeks. The sales spreadsheet project describes about a week of work for analysis, scoping, design, build, test, and train, over the course of a month.
